Compassionate Care Fund
About the Compassionate Care Fund
We believe that God uses Biblical, Christ-centered counseling to bring healing, wholeness and holiness to wounded lives and relationships. It is our earnest desire to make this counseling available to all who need it. We work with clients’ churches, employers, insurance providers, and other resources to provide services for those who cannot afford the fee. What happens to people who have none of the above resources? Over the course of a typical year, Shepherd’s Touch provides over $25,000 in counseling services for which we are not recompensed. This service to the men, women, young people and children of our community is only possible through donations to our Compassionate Care Fund. 
Prospective clients are qualified to receive sliding-scale help from the Compassionate Care Fund based on their income, family size, and any special circumstances they may have that contributes to their need for help. All clients are encouraged to make some personal contribution to their counseling care. Clients have given their time in volunteer labor to help cover their counseling costs; and many clients have chosen to “pay back” the subsidy they had received with their own donation as they became able.Shepherd’s Touch is committed to using every dollar donated to our Compassionate Care Fund responsibly to help those who need it most. Would you ask the Lord if some of the money He has entrusted to you is intended to help us fulfill our calling of bringing His touch to broken lives? Your gift of any amount to our Compassionate Care Fund will be used to provide counseling sessions for a precious soul who might otherwise go without help. Sometimes one session can make a life or death difference. We would also be delighted to have you as a Partner – a regular donor who commits to donate a monthly amount and to pray for our ministry regularly. Your monthly gift will help minister God’s truths to those whose life-controlling situations have been keeping them bound. In recycling these items, they are either refurbished and given to families in need, or disposed of in accordance with state and federal EPA guidelines. All proceeds from the Shepherd's Touch collection site will go to the Compassionate Care Fund. |
